The Lifted Brow is a biannual attack journal from Brisbane and Melbourne. We publish many types of writing, art, and music, but have probably shown a preference for underground or experimental work.

We take any type of submission at any time at all, but we don’t respond to queries, and we might hang onto whatever you send us for a while. We don’t mean it to, but everything takes forever. Our pay is often decent, if again a long time coming. We’re starting to get a lot of work that is obviously and totally “for us”, which feels great.
