We have a new magazine co-editor! (And we're looking for a Commentary Editor)

It's a sad day for us here at TLB Online, as we say a fond farewell to Justin Wolfers from our team.

Justin has been an online Commentary Editor for TLB since 2016. He's also editing books for Brow Books, and has been a regular contributor to our magazine and website since 2014. (In the past he's also been an editor for Seizure magazine's AltTxt series, and has worked in publishing at Allen & Unwin since 2013. Plus he's written for Kill Your Darlings, Cordite Poetry Review, Fireflies, Neighbourhood, Plumwood Mountain, The Australian and the UTS Writers' Anthology, and is currently undertaking a PhD in Writing & Society at Western Sydney University.)

We have Justin to thank for a swathe of incredible online features, including the 'Women in Sport' series back in May and Quinn Eades's current 'I Can't Stop Crying' series. And we know that in his new role as Editor of our print magazine, working alongside current editors Annabel Brady-Brown and Zoe Dzunko, Justin will continue to oversee the development of thoughtful, boundary-pushing pieces. In his own words:

I'm super excited, even giddy, to be jumping on board as a co-editor of The Lifted Brow with Annabel and Zoe. They're already been doing wonderful things as a duo, and I'm delighted to have the opportunity to help them push the magazine to become even more interesting, exciting and vital. At the risk of spouting PR, I really do believe that we're living in a time in which deep care and attention to the way we think—and express these thoughts—is critical. So, being part of the platform The Lifted Brow provides in nurturing brilliant writers and artists to take risks, and to punch ever-up and -outwards, is something I value and will contribute to wholeheartedly. Can't wait for the emails to begin!

Justin will be helping us find a new Commentary Editor, so if you think you have the stuff to fill his editorial shoes then take a look at the position overview here. Applications close midnight AEST Wednesday 15th November, so don't dilly-dally.
