ABOUT ISSUE 35

With striking cover artwork by Haein Kim, this issue reveals the winning piece for the 2017 Prize for Experimental Non-fiction, and also features essays from Ellena Savage, Joanna Walsh, Zoe Holman and Shirley Le, as well as Paul Dalla Rosa in conversation with celebrated US writer George Saunders. There's fiction by Haris A. Durrani and Jasna Jasna Žmak, poetry from Abdellatif Laâbi, Najwan Darwish, and Dai Weina, and, as always, Benjamin Law and his mum Jenny's sex and relationships advice column ‘Law School’. Plus there's a whole bunch more fiction, poetry, comics and visual art from around Australia and all across the globe.

And as a special bonus for subscribers only, for this issue we have created a cassette tape full of music from some of Australia’s most interesting and exciting independent acts – with special liner notes by Anwen Crawford inside the pages of Issue 35.
