It’s been a big week for Briohny Doyle’s The Island Will Sink. First, we found out that it has very nearly almost sold out its initial print run – and so we’re doing a second printing!
There’s still right now a few copies floating about, so check out your local independent bookstore to snag one – otherwise you’ll need to wait for the second edition to fly ‘hot off the presses’.
Also: last week, author Briohny Doyle and TLB publisher Sam Cooney spoke to Sky Kirkham about The Island Will Sink for ABC Radio National’s Books and Arts program. Listen to that interview by clicking here, here, here.
Finally, we have unveiled the details for the book’s Sydney launch. Join Briohny and Sydney writer Aden Rolfe at Newtown’s Better Read Than Dead for the official Sydney celebration of this book’s existence. It’s happening on October 6th at 6:30pm, it’s free to attend, the drinks are on us, the book can be purchased on the night – and there’s even a Facebook event in case you, like The Island Will Sink protagonist Max Galleon, need to rely on technology to remember things.
